Union College Athletics

Mitch Baker finished his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Union College women's hockey team in 2019-20. 

Prior to joining the staff of head coach Josh Sciba in 2016, Baker spent eight years as an assistant women's hockey coach at Division III Bethel University. Baker coached with the Royals from 2007-15, helping to develop four All-Americans, a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Player of the Year and numerous All-Conference honorees.

He is the co-founder of Premier Goaltender Development (PGD), and also has coached goaltenders at multiple camps throughout North America and Europe and in the USA Hockey development programs. In his time with PGD, Baker has developed five Team USA goaltenders, 10 Strelow Goalie Camp participants and no fewer than 60 men's and women's NCAA goaltenders.

Baker, who spent two years as a member of the Bethel University men's hockey team, earned a bachelor's degree in physics from Bethel in 2007.
