Rob Parker embarks on his eighth season as an assistant coach with the Union College women's soccer team. Parker joined the team in 2008 and is responsible for training and developing goalkeepers.

Under Parker's tutelage, Union goalkeepers have posted goals-against averages under 1.00 the past six seasons and have recorded 57 shutouts over seven years.  In 2014, senior Allison Brustowicz earned All-Liberty League First Team honors after posting eight shutouts and a career-low 0.68 GAA.
 
A native of Kingston, N.Y., Parker has coached at the collegiate level for 17 years.  Prior to Union, he was a member of coaching staffs at Siena, SUNY Albany, Marist and Towson.  Parker joined the Towson staff at age 19, making him the youngest college soccer coach in the country at the time.
 
During his tenure at Siena, Parker’s goalkeepers twice earned MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors and three first team All-Conference selections.
 
Parker also coached the Adirondack Region women's squad at the Empire State Games for six years, guiding his team to four golds, one silver and one bronze medal in the open division.  He is actively coaching with several clubs in the Capital Region.
 
Parker holds a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma, a USSF National "D" Coaching License and several Diplomas from the English FA. He is also a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and the United States Soccer Coaches Association (USSCA).  Rob serves as an NSCAA Under-30 Mentor, working with young coaches in a year-long education and mentorship program.

He has also served as a member of the Eastern New York Olympic Development Program staff and is a contributor to keeperstop.com, writing articles on goalkeeper development.  

Parker also contributes to several other coaching educational resources.  He joined the Goalkeeper Coaches Association as a contributor, sharing lesson plans and blogs with goalkeeper coaches around the world and has also contributed to Student of the Game Magazine, Coaching the Global Game Magazine and Completekeeper.co.uk.

Rob and his wife, Kim, have a young son, Brayden, and a daughter, Emma. The Parkers reside in Schaghticoke, N.Y.
