Kate Stefl

Katie Stefl

Katie Stefl is in her first season on the Union swimming & diving coaching staff. She is a 2009 graduate of Kalamazoo College in Michigan.

Stefl was a four year Most Valuable Player for Kalamazoo. She was a two-time NCAA All-American Honorable Mention, earning the honors at the 2009 Championships in the 400 IM and 200 butterfly. Stefl also earned All-American honors in 2008 in the 200 fly and 2007 in the 400 IM. She was captain of the squad in her senior season and was on the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association All Star Team in each of her four seasons. Stefl was captain for the Hornets in her senior season.

During her career at Kalamazoo, Stefl was on the Dean's List for eight semesters, and was a four time All-MIAA Academic Team honoree. She also was an NCAA Academic All-American for three seasons.

Stefl served as the Head Coach of the YPAC Swim Club at the South Oakland YMCA in Royal Oak, Michigan in 2009. She also was an assistant swim coach for Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield, Michigan from 2005-2010.
