2012: Member of the 2012 Track Liberty League All-Academic Team. Finished the Mount Saint Mary's College Women's Invitational in 22:58 and placed seventh for the Dutchwomen at the Airfield Invitational...Placed 90th at the NYSCTC clocking in at 26:15.73 (Oct. 20)...Ranked 65th at the Liberty League Championships with a time of 25:28 (Oct. 27)... Was featured on the Nice to Meet U video series.
2011: Finished third for the Dutchwomen and 67th overall at the 16th Annual James Earley Invitational with a time of 20:45.99...finished 2nd for the team and 11th overall at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational with a time of 22:46...finished 2nd for the Dutchwomen at the RPI Invitational with a time of 20:30...Finished third for the Dutchwomen and 62nd overall at the NYSCTC Championships.
2010: Cara finished first out of all Union runners in the Liberty League Championships with 36th place overall and had a time of 26:07.92...first Union runner to finish in the James Early Invitational with time of 20:26.91 which was 46th place...finished second overall to lead the team in the Mount St. Mary's Invitational with a speedy time of 22:06.
Prior to Union: Cara was the captain of Clarence cross country, indoor track and outdoor track teams...She earned the White Letter Leadership Award in cross country 2009...Cara was also honored as All Western New York Scholar Athlete for cross country in 2009 and indoor track 2009-10.
Personal: Born January 24, 1992... Daughter of Ken Zimmerman and Cheryl Possenti... Is a chairperson in the Union College Leadership in Medicine Student Council... Founded the PreMed Book Club Uion Website... Was a Bioethics summer research student... Won a community service essay contest.
