Union College Athletics

2016-2017: Received the William B. Jaffe '26 Athletic Award for the outstanding male student-athlete at Union.

2015-2016: Started all 25 games during the 2015-2016 season. Scoring a total of 497 points, averaging 19.9 points per game. Burgess recorded 70 assists and 28 steels. Burgess received a number of awards throughout the season. He was named to the Liberty League honor roll, and was named Liberty League performer of the week five times. He was also named Liberty League player of the year and was on the final league basketball honor roll. Burgess recorded is 1000th point in a win over Vassar, and was named to the D3hoops.com All-East first team, and the NABC East region first team. 

2014-2015: Started 24 of the 25 games he played during the 2014-2015 season. Scoring a total of 378 points averaging 15 points a game. Recorded 40 steals and 55 assists.

2013-2014:
Burgess saw action in all 24 games in the 2013-2014 season...He finished the season with 232 points averaging 9.7 per game, 4th on the team...He shot .734 from the free throw line with a total of 69...Burgess was named the Liberty League Rookie of the week on December 9th and was given honorable mention on the Liberty Leasure All-Star team.

Prior to Union: Burgess saw action at point guard and at shooting guard for Druid Hills High School.

Personal: Deshon is the son of Mengway Reid and is born on March 3rd 1995
