Biography

Rachel became Union's first ever volleyball All-American in 2007, and was also named First Team All-Liberty League, She was named to numerous all-tournament teams and led Union with 495 kills and 84 solo blocks. On the basketball court, Ormsby averaged 12.3 points and a team best 7.4 rebounds in 2007-08. In 2006-07, she played for the Dutchwomen basketball team and averaged 9.3 points and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 46% from the floor. Rachel was a First Team NYS Class A All Star at Burnt Hills and won Fox 23 Player of the Year and Channel 10 All Star honors. She was captain for both the basketball and volleyball teams, and helped lead the volleyball team to the NYS Class A State title.
