Alicia Aragosa returns for her eighth season as an assistant coach with the Union College field hockey team in 2025.

Aragosa, along with head coach Kelly Harchetts and assistant coach Katie Rich, were honored as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024 after leading the Garnet Chargers had one of the best seasons in program history, posting a 14-6 record and tying for first place in the Liberty League with a 6-1 mark, the program's highest-ever conference finish. The team's 14 regular-season victories are tied for second-most ever in a season in program history and the six conference wins earned the team a home Liberty League Tournament game for the first time in program history.

In addition to the staff's honor, sophomore Maddie Greco was named the program's first-ever Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year to lead four All-Conference selections, the most for the program since 2010 and tied for the second-most ever in a season. In addition, three Garnet Chargers - Greco and juniors Megan Dorsey and Sophie Brady - were named to the NFHCA All-Region teams, with Brady and Greco becoming the first pair of first-team teammates in program history.

Aragosa, Harchetts and Rich were tabbed as the Liberty League Co-Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023 after leading Union to an 11-8 record (4-3 Liberty League) and the program's first conference tournament berth since 2010. The team reached the 11-win plateau for the second straight season in 2023, only the third time in program history that has been achieved, while the 11 wins are tied for fourth-most in a season in program history and the squad's four conference victories are tied for the most ever in a regular season. Individually, first-year Maddie Greco was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Year to lead three All-Conference selections, and four different players earned conference Rookie of the Week accolades during the season.

Aragosa was a four-year field hockey player at SUNY New Paltz from 2010-13, playing in 67 games and scoring 17 goals with three assists for 37 points. She helped the Hawks to the first two SUNYAC Tournament championships in school history as a junior and senior, and also was a member of the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team in 2011. Off the field, Aragosa was a member of the National College Athlete Honor Society (Chi Alpha Sigma) in 2012 and 2013, a four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad and SUNYAC All-Academic Team honoree, as well as a three-time SUNYAC Commissioner’s list member.

Aragosa graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2014 with a bachelor of arts in communication science and disorders. She returned to the Capital Region and graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2016 with a master's of education in speech language pathology. She currently works as a speech language pathologist in Glenville, N.Y.
