A former rower for the Union women's crew team, Alyson Insero '18 returns for her seventh season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Union men's and women's crew teams in 2025-26.
Insero was a four-year member of the women’s crew team at Union from 2014-18, earning All-Liberty League recognition as a junior in 2017 and twice earning Liberty League Boat of the Week honors. In her final collegiate competition, she helped the open four to a first-place finish at the New York State Collegiate Championships.
During her time at Union, Insero represented the school at the Head of the Charles Regatta C.R.A.S.H.-B Indoor Rowing Championships, and also captured a gold medal in the Women’s Eight Dash at the 134th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta as a member of the Saratoga Rowing Association.
