Brian Wilkin

Brian Wilkin finished his first season as an assistant coach with the Union College men's soccer team in 2025.

In his first year with the team, Union posted a 7-6-6 record and its best Liberty League finish in over a decade, finishing in fourth place with a 4-1-4 conference record that marked the program's fewest conference losses in a season since 2010. After recording their fewest regular-season losses in a decade, the Garnet Chargers advanced to the conference semifinals for the second time in three years by winning a thrilling penalty shootout in the first round of the postseason.

Wilkin spent the 2024 season withing with the University at Albany, serving as an assistant coach and head of goalkeeping for the Great Danes' women's program. He previously worked with the University of Rochester men's soccer team in 2023, helping the Yellowjackets to an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and a national ranking as high as seventh over the course of the year. Wilkin has also spent time working with both the men's and women's programs at SUNY Oswego as well as the men's soccer team at Rochester Institute of Technology.
 
Wilkin was a four-year goalkeeper at Nazareth College (now University), earning three straight All-Empire 8 first-team honors and picking up All-Region third-team laurels from United Soccer Coaches as a senior. He finished his career with a 0.86 goals against average and .834 save percentage over four seasons, recording 23 shutouts in 62 appearances. After graduation, Wilkin continued his playing career in the Major Arena Soccer League, competing with the Rochester Lancers (2019-20) and Utica City FC (2020-24).
 
A native of Hilton, N.Y., Wilkin graduated from Nazareth with a degree in Business Management in 2020.Â
