Rachel Colfer ’09 finished her fourth season as an assistant coach with the Union College women’s basketball team in 2024-25.
Union has reached the postseason in all four of her seasons on the sidelines of her alma mater, including a pair of conference tournament semifinal appearances in 2022 and 2024.
A four-year member of the women’s basketball team at Union, Colfer (née Scott) started all 26 games and averaged over 24 minutes per game at guard as a senior captain, ranking second on the team in three-pointers made (34) and averaging 7.7 points per contest in helping the team to a 19-7 record. She played in 86 games over her four-year career and ranks third in school history in three-point field-goal percentage (.368) and 15th in three-pointers made. The team went 63-38 during her four seasons in Schenectady.
Colfer graduated from Union in 2009 and received a master’s degree from Albany Medical College in 2014.
