Stephen Foster finished his third season as an assistant coach with the Union College men's and women's track & field teams in 2024-25, serving as the team's throws coach.
The 2025-26 season saw several excellent performances in the throwing events, including USTFCCCA All-Region honors for Mason Lang in the indoor shot put and All-Conference recognition for Lang (honorable mention) in the outdoor shot put and Nick Entner (second team) in the outdoor javelin throw.
In his first season with the team, Foster helped to guide Mason Lang to All-Region honors in the shot put and a combined four top-10 finishes at the Liberty League Championships. Two throwers (Lang and Nick Entner) also qualified for the AARTFC Outdoor Championships in the javelin as well. Entner also earned All-Region recognition during the 2005 outdoor season as well.
Foster brings years of international coaching experience in throws and pole vault to Union and also is a certified strength and conditioning coach. He graduated from York University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in history.
