A hat trick by Tyler Brosz was the difference as the University of Minnesota Duluth defeated the Union College Dutchmen 7-4 in a non-leagure hockey gamre at Frank L.. Messa Rink at Achilles Center.

Junior Brian Kerr was the lone bright spot for the Dutchmen as he picked up three assists in the loss. Unions goal scorers were sophomore Matt Blabac (1), freshman Olivier Bouchard (3), and freshman Ian Ross (2).

Sophomore goaltender Kris Mayotte made 13 saves on 19 shots and was relieved by fellow sophomore Tim Roth early in the third period. Roth made 12 saves on 13 shots. Mayotte takes the loss and is now 5-3-3 on the season.
