Mission Statement
The mission of the Garnet Blades is to promote and support the Union College men's hockey program in an attempt to provide the necessary resources to sustain competitive excellence within ECAC Hockey and the NCAA. At the same time, this club will provide an exciting atmosphere for all its members.
President's Message
Dear Garnet Blades Members and Friends,
It's an exciting moment we are all witnessing as Union Hockey plays its first season in its new home, M&T Bank Center.
The state-of-the-art arena provides our outstanding student-athletes with a first-class facility to train in, recover in, and win in. The top-notch building is exactly what Union Hockey dreamed about and deserves. This wouldn't have happened without all of you, and we thank everyone who supported this important goal over many years.
We also thank Coach Hauge and his staff, who have worked hard to create a program that has arrived. Last season, our team had its best record in six years and this year's team seems well positioned for a great 2025-26 campaign with many more successful seasons to follow.
M&T Bank Center is a wonderful place to watch Union Hockey and provides an opportunity to add memories that carry forward from our 50 years at Messa Rink. Please come often to a game and witness more unforgettable moments.
