UNION 59, Skidmore 40

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.-- Junior forward Katlyn Cunningham picked up a double-double as she scored a game-high 20 points with 10 rebounds to lead Union to a 59-40 victory over Skidmore in a Division III women's basketball game in Memorial Field House. The victory gives the Dutchwomen 7-2 overall record while theThoroughbreds fell to 5-7. The game was the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association opener for both squads.

Union was never really challenged in the contest as they led by at least eight points most of the first half which enabled the Dutchwomen to carry a comfortable 15-point lead into the break, 39-24.

Nine different Dutchwomen produced points with sophomore guard Erika Eisenhut contributing 11 points. Senior guard Taryn Scinto handed out four assists, came up with four steals and pulled down four rebounds for Union.

Skidmore was led by Lisa Mason and Nicky DiMarzio, who had 15 and 12 points, respectively.
