Schenectady, NY (January 23, 2004) The Union College Dutchwomen played their first ECAC league game in over two months, falling to the Yale Bulldogs by a 6-0 final at New Haven, CT. With the loss, the Dutchwomen fall to 3-17-1 on the season, with a 0-5-0 league record. Yale, (6-7-3, 3-3-0) took a 2-0 lead into the third period, before scoring four times in the third to close out Union. Kristen Savard scored twice for Yale, and Erin Duggan added a goal and an assist. Freshman Mandy Hanson, making her fifth consecutive start for the Dutchwomen stopped a career high 47 shots in taking the loss, 1-7-0. Bulldog goalie Nicolette Franck made her first start of the season, making 27 saves for the victory. Both teams will meet again on Saturday, for a 2:00pm matinee game to conclude the series.
