SCHENECTADY, N.Y.Jessica Trotter and Jordan Reardon both scored unassisted second-half goals to carry Union to its first Liberty League field hockey victory, 3-1, over the University of Rochester.
Trotter's goal was her team-leading eighth of the season and produced her third game-winning tally of the year. The victory snapped the Dutchwomen's seven-game league losing streak dating back to September 27, 2003 when Union defeated Rensselaer, 1-0.
Kristin Murphy's third goal of the year gave the Dutchwomen a 1-0 advantage before the Yellowjackets tied the game with 8:32 on the first-half clock.
Amanda Meissner stopped three shots for Union while Rachel Cahan recorded eight saves for Rochester.
