SCHENECTADY, N.Y.Junior forward Tim Stanley scored a hat trick to lead nationally-ranked Plattsburgh to a 3-1 non-league decision over Union in a men's soccer game on Garis Field.
The win kept the Cardinals undefeated at 9-0-1 while the Dutchmen fell to 5-5.
Stanley scored a pair of first-half goals with Mark Misiak picking up an assist on each. Union cut its deficit to 2-1 as freshman Chukwuma Asala beat goaltender Zach Manning with 42:09 left in the game. However, Stanely iced the contest with an unassisted tally with 20 minutes remaining.
