UCAA-Leading Dutchwomen Defeat Skidmore To Extend Their Win Streak to 11-Straight

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY--Erika Eisenhut scored 16 of her game-high 21 points in the first half and Courtney Shepard tallied 14 points to help Union remain undefeated in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association with a 61-36 womens basketball victory over Skidmore.

The win not only increased the Dutchwomens UCAA-leading record to 8-0, it improved the Garnets overall standard to 16-2. Union has now won 11 in a row.

Union converted 16 of its 30 field goal attempts in the first half (53.3%) with Eisenhut knocking down seven of her nine attempts, including two-of-four from three-point range. Senior guard Taryn Scinto handed out five assists, came up with five steals and scored six points for the Dutchwomen. Kate DeSorrento led Union on the boards as she pulled down five the teams 32 rebounds.

Skidmore, now 2-6 in the conference and 7-12 overall, was led by Lisa Masons 11-point performance.

The Dutchwomen, who host William Smith and Hamilton this weekend in their final regular-season appearance in Memorial Field House, went into the game against Skidmore with a two-game lead in the UCAA. The final four contests of the regular season find the Dutchwomen at St. Lawrence, Clarkson, Vassar, and Rensselaer.
