Box ScoreTrailing 1-0 with just 23 seconds gone in the game, Clarkson scored nine-straight goals and went on to defeat Union, 14-6, in an Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association men's lacrosse game on Frank Bailey Field.
The win evens the Golden Knights conference record at 2-2 and improves their overall mark to 5-8. Union fell to 2-2 in the UCAA and 3-9 overall.
Cameron Marks' goal at 14:37 gave the Dutchmen their only lead of the game before Richard Burritt's tally with 11:42 showing not only tied the contest, but started the string of Golden Knight goals. Patrick Ryan made it 2-1 with 7:30 left in the first period before goals by Ryan Bodkin and Jim Lavelle gave the visitors a 4-1 advantage after the first stanza. Jim Lavelle opened the second period with a goal at 14:26 before Sean Pearce's tally preceded two more Lavelle scores that gave the Knights an 8-2 lead at the half.
Ryan, Lavelle and Burritt each finished with four points for the Golden Knights while Mike McKenna contributed three assists. Joe Zebrowski got the complete-game win between the pipes with an 11-save performance.
Dan Myerow led Union with four assists while Peter Gross and Marks each found the back of the net twice.
