Flanagan, Dolezal lead Union past St. John Fisher, 13-7

ROCHESTER, N.Y.Molly Flanagan scored five goals and Kathy Dolezal added three tallies as Union handed homestanding St. John Fisher a 13-7 non-league women's lacrosse setback. The win lifts Union's overall record to 10-3 while the Cardinals saw their four game win streak come to an end as they fell to 9-5.

Flanagan, who is among the nation's leading scorers and now has 50 goals and 69 points, scored twice in the first half as the Dutchwomen built a 10-4 lead. Liz Flanagan, a key player on Union's defense and transition game, gave the Dutchwomen a 1-0 lead with her third goal of the year, which came with 29:07 left in the first half. Flanagna's goal was the first of three scored by the Union to open the game. Dolezal, who now has found the back of the net 33 times this year, scored all three of her goals in the opening half with the third coming with 40 seconds left. That tally gave the Dutchmen a commanding 10-4 advantage at the break.

Alexandra Toney picked up two goals for Union while sophomore goaltender Corey Bralower needed to make just nine saves in order to pick up her fifth win of the season.
