OSWEGO, N. Y.--The Oswego State men's soccer team netted the game's only goal as the Lakers earned a 1-0 victory over visiting Union College at the South Athletic Complex.

Junior Paul Palucci scored the winning goal 7:42 into the game as he knocked in a pass from D.J. Long.  Oswego State goalie John Spuhler earned the shutout making five saves, while Union keeper Kevin O'Connor finished with four stops.

The Dutchmen nearly forced overtime in the closing minutes, but Kelvin Martinez's shot from within the Laker's penalty area rolled just wide of the near post.

Oswego State is now 3-4 on the season, while Union fell to 4-2.
