Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-- Union College improved to 9-1-2 and 4-0-1 in Liberty League play with a 2-0 win over Skidmore in women's soccer action on Wednesday. The Thoroughbreds fell to 10-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the Liberty League

    Cassandra Mariani (Boonton, N.J./Morris Catholic) put Union on the board when she converted a cross from Caitlin Cuozzo (Norfolk, Mass./King Phillip) at 24:20. It was Mariani's team-high 10th goal of the season.

      Jenna Ondash (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) scored on a corner from Sara Wilson (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug) at 67:28 to make it 2-0.

      Julie Gawronski (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk) had five saves in net for Union, while Liza Mills (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) had 11 saves for the Thoroughbreds.

     Union is back in action on Saturday, October 15 when they host Hartwick at 2:00 p.m.
