PRINCETON, NJ – Three Princeton players scored two goals each as the ninth-ranked Tigers defeated Union 9-2 in women's ECAC Hockey League action Friday night at Hobey Baker Rink. Union drops to 4-5-0 overall and 0-3-0 in league play. Princeton improved to 5-0-2 on the season and 5-0-1 in the league, extending its unbeaten streak to seven games. 
The Tigers got on the scoreboard with a power-play tally from junior 
Lizzie Keady. Senior Laura Watt gave Princeton a 2-0 lead with 44 seconds left in the first period with her first goal of the season. 
 
Union cut the lead in half midway through the second period when 
Elise Nichols (Pittsfield, MA/ Troy Ice Cats) deflected a 
Kaitlyn Aitcheson (Stratford, ONT/ Bluewater Hawks) shot from the point. 
 
 
The Tigers answered right back when Monica Brennan Princeton scored 25 seconds later to give Princeton a two-goal cushion. 
 
Union again cut the lead to a goal when 
Maeve Kehoe (Chelsea, QUE/ Northwood School) scored her first goal of the season after an initial shot was blocked at the 16:00 mark, but Princeton answered 35 seconds later to go ahead 4-2. Marykate Oakley made the score 5-2 less than two minutes later when she scored on the power play after drawing the Union goaltender across the crease.
The Tigers closed out the game with four goals in the final period and held Union to no shots in the final stanza. Watt scored four minutes into the period with a blast from the point and Wallace and Ralph added the final three goals, two coming from Wallace.
Alex Zirbel (Clearwater, FL/ Shattuck St. Mary's) stopped 42 shots, while Princeton goaltender 
Brittany Parisi made 15 saves for her second win of the season.
 
The Dutchwomen are back in action tomorrow at Quinnipiac at 4 p.m.
