CLINTON, NY -- Ann Graveley scored her fifth goal of the season at 25:27 and the 1-0 lead help for the final score as Hamilton defeated Union in a Liberty League women's soccer game Saturday at Love Field.
The Continentals remained undefeated (7-0) and improved to 2-0 in the Liberty League. Union, which entered the week ranked #5 nationally, fell to 7-2 and 0-2 in the league after a second straight loss.
Graveley took a pass from Erica Dressler for the eventual game winner. The Continentals were outshot, 12-10, and Union had a 5-3 corner advantage. Graveley led the hosts with three shots, while Union featured three shots from freshman Caitlin O'Donnell (Hampden, MA).
Melissa McDonald (Lynnfield, MA) made three saves for the Dutchwomen while Caitlin McGilley also made three saves for Hamilton.
Union hosts Utica for a non-league game on September 29 at 7 p.m.
