SCHENECTADY, NY – Senior middle hitter
Rachel Ormsby (Charlton, NY) had 16 digs, 11 kills and five blocks to lead Union College to a three game victory over Sage College in volleyball action Tuesday night at the Viniar Athletic Center. The event, which featured pink jerseys for both teams, was titled "Passionately Pink for the Cure" and nearly $600 was raised on site for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure program for breast cancer research. Including online and other donations, the event raised over $1800.
Union improved to 30-1, posting the first 30 win season in program history, and the Dutchwomen have won 16 straight matches. The Gators fell to 18-11 on the year. Union won by scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-21.

Julie LaSpina (Roslyn Heights, NY) had eight kills while senior right side
Bridget Little (Glenville, NY) recorded seven kills and four blocks for Union. Defensive specialist and senior
Kaitlyn Evans (Hamburg, NY) finished with 13 digs and junior defensive specialist
Veronica Mynders (Greenville, NY) had 11 digs. The Dutchwomen also received 20 assists and seven digs from junior setter
Jennifer Merinder (Andover, MA).
