SCHENECTADY, NY – Freshman forward Craig Santagelo (Sayville, NY) scored twice on plays set up by junior defender Brendan Steiner (Madison, CT), helping the Union College men's soccer to a 4-1 victory against Utica Wednesday night at College Park Field. The victory improves the Dutchmen's record to 10-3-3, while the Pioneers go to 8-7-1.

Santagelo registered his first goal at 49:00 with a quick pass form Steiner in the box that the freshman one-timed into the goal to make it 2-0. The duo connected again at 62:34; this time Steiner sent a long forward pass from just over midfield into the box where Santagelo won the ball and put his team up 3-0.

Utica freshman Jeremy Pierce (Cheshire, MA) put his team on the board at 81:58 on a breakaway effort that he sneaked into the lower-right third.

Freshman defender Kevin Giron (Barrington, RI) responded with his first career goal on a laser from well outside the box at 88:56. The goal was set up by freshman forward Marc Zeyak (Valatie, NY).
