SCHENECTADY, NY – The Dutchwomen hockey team experienced a 6-0 setback at the hands of Northeastern on Saturday at Messa Rink. Senior goaltender

The Dutchwomen's best opportunity in the first came on a redeflection by senior right-winger
Suzy Pocock (Sterling Heights, MI) with eight minutes remaining. Sophomore defender
Perri Maduri (Westford, MA) wound up from the blueline and Pocock got her backhand on it just inside the face-off circle. Northeastern goalie, sophomore Leah Sulyma, went paddle down for the save.
Senior center Colleen Sanborn broke the scoreless tie 7:27 into the game with a rebound goal from in front. Senior defender Erin Reil took the original shot and sophomore defender Julia Marty was also credited with an assist.

Lauren Cromartie, center
Kim Kowalczyk and Pocock gave Union some life by providing pressure in the offensive end. Moments later, the Dutchwomen were given a man advantage.
With the power play, Union worked the puck down low before finding sophomore forward
Marissa Gentile (Groton, MA) at the point. Gentile's shot when wide, but found the stick of sophomore right-winger
Suzanne Ostrow (Boise, ID), who took several cracks down low, but Sulyma was up to the challenge.
Kehoe got her hat trick with the Huskies final goal at 14:12.
Northeastern held the advantage in shots, 45-6, and went 2-5 on the power play, while Union went 0-4 with the man advantage.
