GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Three Union College women's hockey players earned postseason academic honors on Monday as senior
Amanda Quan and first-years Emma Rhéaume and
Kaitlyn Toner were named Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
To qualify, student-athletes must have a 3.75 GPA in each semester and play in at least 40% of their teams' games. Union's All-American Scholars maintained at least a 3.75 GPA in all three trimesters of the 2025-26 academic year. Quan, Rhéaume, and Toner were three of 319 All-American Scholars recognized by the AHCA in the 10th edition of the academic award.
Quan was named an All-American Scholar for the second season in a row after recording an assist and a goal in her senior season. The Economics major with a Political Science minor also won Union's Women's Hockey Student-Athlete Achievement Award, and is a member of the Women in Economics Club as well as the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society.
Rhéaume was named the Rookie of the Week twice by ECAC Hockey and the Goalie of the Week on one occasion during her debut season in Schenectady. She posted a .913 save percentage and recorded two shutouts, winning four games overall. The Biology major averaged over 39 saves in the final five games of the regular season and a postseason win over Clarkson in the Opening Round of the ECAC Hockey Tournament. She was named Union's Freshman Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award as well.
Toner, an Economics major, appeared in 35 games as a first-year and tallied two assists on the season. She posted first collegiate point against Saint Anselm on Oct. 17 and registered 35 blocked shots, which were the sixth-most on the team.
