HANOVER, NH- Dartmouth used four goals in the final period to earn a 6-1 victory against the Union College women's ice hockey team on Friday night at Thompson Arena.

The Big Green (4-0-0, 3-0-0 ECAC Hockey) got two goals from senior Katie Gray and junior Jenna Cunningham added a goal and two assists. Sophomore Amanda Trunzo had another impressive day with three points to extend her point streak to four games and her goal-scoring streak to three games.

The Dutchwomen (0-10-1, 0-3-0 ECAC Hockey) hung in with the Big Green for two periods as freshman forward  Adelle Calahan netted the lone goal for Union. Senior goaltender Lundy Day was tested all night and made 47 saves, including 18 alone in the first period.

Dartmouth got things started six minutes into the game as Kennedy put the Big Green on top 1-0. Junior Sue Schmitz fired a slap shot from the point that Day made the save on, but the puck came free to Cunningham. She kept the puck alive in front and it found Kennedy at the far post and she buried it.

Trunzo increased the lead to 2-0 with her fourth of the season. Trunzo, like Kennedy was camping out at the far post, and Cunningham drove to the net and slid a shot over to Kennedy for the score.

Union fought back to get within one at 2-1, just two minutes into the second period. Lauren Cromartie drove to the net, connected on shot that was saved by Lacina but the rebound came to Calahan and she tucked it inside the near post to cut the deficit.

In the third period, Dartmouth exploded for four goals to break the game open for a 6-1 win. Gray netted her two goals in the final period, while senior Sarah Newnam also posted her first of the season. Cunningham also scored for the Big Green in the period, which gives her three on the year.
