WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- Freshman attack Chelsea Charette (South Hadley, MA) scored four goals and senior midfielder Keri Messa (Saratoga Springs, NY) added four assists to lead #10 Union to a 16-7 triumph over Williams in women's lacrosse action Sunday.
The Dutchwomen, 2-0, got three goals from Keelin Skurek (Massillon, NY) and two goals each from Kristin Joyce (Longmeadow, MA) and Caitlin Cuozzo (Norfolk, MA). Other goal scorers for the Dutchwomen were Allie Cuozzo (Norfolk, MA), Jill LaForest (Acton, MA), Steph Egizi (Westwood, MA), Liz Zamore (South Hero, VT) and Messa.
Williams featured two goals each from Alison Murray, Tina Nawrocki and Britt Spackman, while Alice Nelson scored the other Ephs' tally.
Union jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first seven minutes and had a 5-0 lead before the Ephs got on the board 17:06 into the game. The Dutchwomen had an 11-4 lead at halftime.
Next up for Union will be a game against 14th ranked Colby Tuesday.
