SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The #22 Dutchwomen soccer team used four goals from four different student-athletes to produce a 4-0 victory against Rutgers-Newark at the Union College Soccer Invitational on Sunday. With the win Union improves to 2-0-0, while Rutgers-Newark goes to 0-2-0.
Union dominated most of the play in the first half and had five corner kicks during the first 17 minutes, cashing in at 16:24 with a junior midfielder
Allison Cuozzo (Norfolk, MA) rebound goal. Senior defender
Sara Wilson (Wilbraham, MA) was credited with the helper.
Wilson got her name on the score sheet just over 12 minutes later when she scored Union's fourth goal of the half. She took a free kick just outside the right side of the box. Her attempt rocketed into the upper-left third of the goal.
Sophomore forward
Katie McLean set up the two goals sandwiched between Cuozzo and Wilson's tallies. She gave sophomore midfielder
Caitlin O'Donnell a one-timer just inside the box at 22:18. Her second assist was at 26:37 when her shot attempt eventually found senior midfielder

Melissa McDonald (Lynnfield, MA) and sophomore
Abby Stohler (West Hartford, CT) shared duties between the pipes. McDonald played the first half and went untested, while Stohler took over in the second and made two saves, including a tester during the 65
th minute.
Rutgers-Newark also used two goalkeepers – the freshman duo of Kayla Wakstein and Kat Renteria produced five saves.
Union controlled the advantage in corner kicks (7-0), shots (19-5) and shots on goal (10-2).
The Dutchwomen return to action on Friday when they host Clark College at 6 p.m.
