#14 Women's Soccer team posts 2-0 home win over Clark

SCHENECTADY, NY – The No. 14 Dutchwomen's soccer team won its third consecutive game, defeating Clark, 2-0, on Friday at College Park. Sophomore midfielder Caitlin O'Donnell (Hampden, MA) tallied the game-winner only 6:19 into the contest. The goal was her second of the season.
Union's first marker was set up by junior midfielder Katie Weinstein (Marblehead, MA) who sent a low pass to O'Donnell eight yards out. The assist was the first of the season for Weinstein.

Less than seven minutes later, senior midfielder Chelsea Hargis (East Lyme, CT) made it 2-0 when she deflected a pass at her waist past Cougar goalkeeper Joanna Clark at 13:00. The tally was her second of the season. Freshman forward Jessica Strang (Rotterdam, NY) was credited with the assist, earning her third point of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Melissa McDonald handled both shots in the first half and reigning Liberty League Defensive Player of the Week, senior Sarah Wilson (Wilbraham, MA), kept Clark off the board by protecting a wide open goal and making a team-save at 11:58.

McDonald (3-0-0) shared time in goal with sophomore Abby Stohler (West Hartford, CT). The tandem shared the shutout for the second straight game. Union's shutout streak is currently at 204:03.
