PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Union College men's soccer team played in its third consecutive overtime game, producing a 1-1 draw at SUNY Plattsburgh on Tuesday evening. The Dutchmen move their record to 9-3-2, while Plattsburgh goes to 11-2-3.

John Mara tied things up with his first goal of the season, which came at 51:25 and was unassisted.
Plattsburgh grabbed the early lead 18:34 into the game with Pat Shaughnessy's sixth tally of the season. Bandon Levine and Erik Hakim each earned assists on the play.
In the overtime sessions, the Dutchmen, who are 3-1-2 in overtime this season, controlled the action registering three shots, including two on goal.
For the game, Union outshot Plattsburgh, 8-7, despite trailing in corner kicks, 8-3.
Union, which is in a four-way tie for first place in the Liberty League, will battle two of the first place teams this weekend when Hamilton comes to College Park on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. The Dutchmen then host Hobart on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m.
