SCHENECTADY, NY -- Junior goaltender
Sarah Rios made eight saves to record her fifth shutout of the season as the Union field hockey team downed Williams, 2-0 at Frank Bailey Field Wednesday night. The Dutchwomen, playing their final regular season home game, improved to 7-7 while the Ephs fell to 5-7 after the non-league matchup.

Tyler Willey and
Isabel Zellweger tallied for the Dutchwomen. Union outshot the Ephs, 23-17 and had a 12-5 corner advantage. Katrina Tulia (New Canaan, CT) made 12 saves for Williams, including seven in the second half.
Willey opened the scoring at 21:43.
Kelsey Powers took a shot from the right of Tulia, and the rebound kicked out in front to Willey. The junior scored her fifth of the year on a high shot to the left of the goaltender.
Zellweger also scored her fifth of the year, coming just 2:19 into the second half.
Lizzy Moran took a shot that was stopped and Zellweger put in the rebound from three yards out.
After losing 10 straight games to Williams in the series, Union has won the last two meetings, including a 2-1 overtime win in 2008.
Union returns to the Liberty League schedule this weekeend, with games at Rochester Friday and William Smith Saturday.
