SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Led by junior Jordan Remillard, sophomore Eve Richards and senior Rachel Ormsby, the Union College volleyball team shutout St. Michael's and Hunter, respectively, on Friday at the Skidmore Classic.

On the first match, Union defeated St. Michael's 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-23). Remillard had 11 kills while Richards had nine kills and eight digs. Junior Erika VanValkenburg notched 28 assists and senior Veronica Mynders made 16 digs.

Last that evening, the Dutchwomen defeated Hunter 3-0 (25-23, 25-9, 25-16). Remillard, Richards and Ormsby each had eight kills. Richards and Mynders each made nine digs while VanValkenburg notched 25 assists.

The Dutchwomen will finish the Classic on Saturday, facing Clarkson in a Liberty League match at 10 a.m. followed by taking on Colby-Sawyer at 2 p.m.
