Win or Go Home: Men's Soccer Hosts Most Important Game of the Year

It's crunch time for the men's soccer team as it faces a must-win contest on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. when Liberty League foe Skidmore comes to College Park. The game is the regular-season finale and carries major playoff implications.

Currently, the Dutchmen have a 3-3-0 league record and are in fifth place right behind Vassar, which also has a 3-3-0 record, but holds the head-to-head tie breaker for the fourth and final postseason position.

A Union win on Saturday and a Vassar loss or tie against RPI would secure a Dutchmen playoff berth.

If the Dutchmen do qualify for the postseason, they will travel to either RPI or Hobart for a mid-week semi-final match.

The game will be the final regular-season home contest for the Ryan Banagan, Matt Bombardier, John Mara, Kyle Riter, Jack Scott and Brendan Steiner.
