SCHENECTADY, NY -- Senior defenseman Mike Schreiber highlighted Union's efforts in a 3-3 tie against Brown with a career-best two goals and a career-high tying three points. The Dutchmen go to 3-3-2 overall and 0-0-1 in conference play, while Brown moves to 0-1-1 and 0-0-1 in ECAC Hockey.

Schreiber was joined on the scoresheet by sophomore forward Kelly Zajak, who netted his second goal of the season. Junior forward Adam Presizniuk produced his third multi-point game with two assists.

The Dutchmen, who went 1-for-6 on the power-play and killed all four penalties, outshot the Bears, 32-19, despite being outshot 7-4 in the first period.

Trailing 3-2 with less than seven minutes remaining, Schreiber's shot from the point found its way over the right shoulder of sophomore goaltender Michael Clemente at 13:21. Presizniuk dumped the puck off for the senior assistant captain at the left point.

The game was the third-straight overtime contest for Union and the fourth in the last six outings. Each team produced one shot in the extra frame.

The Bears jumped out to a 1-0 lead early when junior defenseman Jeremy Russell scored 32 seconds into the game with a wrist-shot form the point. The goal, his first of the season, was assisted by junior forward Harry Zolnierczyk and sophomore forward Jack Maclellan.

Another fast start greeted the Bears in the second when senior forward Aaron Volpatti blocked a shot in his defensive end raced for a shorthanded tally at 58 seconds.

While still on the power play, the Dutchmen responded with a gritty goal downlow at 1:45 by sophomore forward Kelly Zajac with the assists going to Presizniuk and Schreiber.

Zolnierczyk netted his first goal of the season and Brown's second shorty of the night 2:54 into the second with a Union turnover in the defensive end.

Once again the Dutchmen responded with a goal by Schreiber at 4:21 on a onetimer that snuck through the pads of Clemente. Senior forward Jason Shaffer made the centering pass from behind the net after receiving the initial pass form freshman forward Wayne Simpson.

Junior goaltender Corey Milan made 16 saves, going to 3-2-2 in his sixth start of the season. His most noticeable stop came when she slide across the crease, robbing freshman defenseman Richie Crowley on the power-play in the second period.

At the opposite end, Clemente made 28 stops to go to 0-1-1.
