PROVIDENCE, RI- Stefanie Thomson scored on the power play in the first period and host Brown tied the game in the second as neither team could pull and played to a 1-1 tie on Friday night at Meehan Auditorium. The Dutchwomen are now 1-9-1 (0-4-1 ECACH) while Brown is 1-3-1 (0-2-1 ECACH).

 

Thomson's goal came at 4:13 in the first frame. She was assisted by Ashley Johnston and Lauren Cromartie.

 

Brown would tie the game at 4:19 of the second period on a goal by Kelly Griffin.

 

Kate Gallagher started in goal for the Dutchwomen and made 16 saves. Aubree Moore made 32 saves for the Bears.

 

Union led in shots in the game 33-17. They led in every period except the second where Brown had the slight edge 8-7. Union was 1-for-3 on the power play and Brown was 0-for-2.

 

The Dutchwomen continue road play tomorrow afternoon against Yale at 4 pm.
