Thomson scores again but Dutchwomen fall to Yale

Thomson scored the only Union goal

NEW HAVEN, CT- Stefanie Thomson scored for the second straight game but the Dutchwomen hockeyteam could not generate any offense as they fell to host Yale 4-1 on Saturday evening.
 
Yale took the early 1-0 lead at 4:06 of the first period. Thomson's score at 10:28 would even it up at one each and the Bulldogs would take the lead for good at 16:35 to go up 2-1.
 
Union had a 14-10 lead in shots in the second period and had a late power play but could not get past Bulldog goaltender Genny Ladiges.
 
Yale would add two empty-net goals in the last 47 seconds to secure the victory.
 
The Bulldogs led in shots overall, 33-25. Union was 0-for-5 on the power play.
 
Kate Gallagher made 27 saves in goal for the Dutchwomen. Ladiges made 24 saves for Yale.
 
Union returns to the ice on November 28 as they go on the road to take on Providence at 4 pm.
