SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's ice hockey team enters the month of February with six games remaining in the regular season, beginning with a weekend road trip to St. Lawrence on Friday at 7 p.m. and No. 3 Clarkson on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Despite the 3-1 loss to Quinnipiac last Saturday, two Union student-athletes made highlights during the game. Freshman forward Nicole Bartlett scored her first career goal, which was assisted by junior forward Marissa Gentile and freshman forward Rhianna Kurio.
With the assist, Gentile (2g-6a) joined sophomore forward Lauren Hoffman (2g-6a) as the team's assist and points leader with eight on the season. She has also moved into sixth in the program's all-time list for assist with 17. Throughout the second half on the season, Gentile has posted four assists in 10 games.
With seven points this season, Kurio (2g-5a) leads all freshmen in assists and points. Kurio and freshman forwards Emma Rambo and Jeannie Sabourin each have two goals- the most in that academic status.
Scouting St. Lawrence
St. Lawrence (12-9-7, 8-5-3 ECAC Hockey) is coming off a 4-2 win over No. 3 Clarkson on Tuesday. The Saints have been winless in their last four contests.
Sophomore forward Vanessa Emond (14g-16a) leads the Saints in goals and points (30) and senior defenseman Britni Smith (8g-14a) is second. Freshmen forwards Kelly Sabatine (8g-11a), Michelle Ng (7g-9a) and Kayla Sullivan (9g-5a) each have double digits in the points category.
Two student-athletes have played in goal this season, seniors Brittony Chartier and Maxie Weisz. Chartier has played 23 games and carries a 2.29 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. Weisz holds a 1.90 GAA and a .914 save percentage in 13 games played.
Scouting Clarkson
Ranked third in the nation by USCHO.com, Clarkson (19-6-3, 13-2-1 ECAC Hockey) was upset by St. Lawrence earlier in the week en route snapping a four-game win streak.
Prior to facing the Dutchwomen on Saturday, Clarkson will host Union's travel partner Rensselaer on Friday at 7 p.m.
Senior forward Dominique Thibault (16g-16a) leads the team in both goals and points (32), while senior center Britney Selina (9g-20a) leads the team in assists. Sophomore forward Juana Baribeau (15g-14a) registered a goal and an assist on Tuesday to tie Selina for second in points (29).
Junior Lauren Dahm has played a majority of the season between the pipes. In 27 games played, she holds a 1.47 GAA and a .939 save percentage. Both are third best in ECAC Hockey and sixth in the nation.
Freshman Kelsey Neumann made her debut last Tuesday in goal. Against the Saints, she made 22 saves and allowed four goals.
