No. 11 Union looks to continue winning ways at Quinnipiac

Game Notes

HAMDEN, CT
 - No. 11 Union opened the month of February with a bang, scoring six unanswered goals en route to a 7-4 win at No. 19 Princeton. Union is in the midst of its second four-game winning streak of the season and has won eight of nine overall. With the win against the Tigers, the Dutchmen improved to 4-4-1 against ranked competition this season, and 5-2-1 in ECAC road contests. At 19-7-3 (11-3-1 ECAC Hockey), Union has set a new school record in the Division I era for regular season wins. Tonight, the Dutchmen will take on Quinnipiac for the first time since the two teams met in an ECAC Quarterfinal series last season in which the Dutchmen prevailed in three games. Five of the last 11 meetings between the Dutchmen and the Bobcats have gone to overtime, including an NCAA-record breaking 5OT game on March 12, 2010, which the Bobcats won 3-2. Quinnipiac rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie No. 9 Rensselaer 3-3 last night, as Connor Jones had the game-tying score at 11:50 of the third period.
