NORTH ADAMS, MA - The 2011 CIAO Men's Soccer Classic got underway with host MCLA and Union scoring victories.  The Trailblazers defeated Medgar Evers 1-0 in the nightcap, while Union handled Husson College 6-1.

Union wasted little time in improving to 4-0 on the season as junior forward Sebastiaan Jansen tallied two first half goals, while adding a third at the 55 minute mark to complete the hat trick.  Husson drops to 1-2-1 with the loss.

Behind Jansen's opening period goals, Union led 2-0 at the break.  Sophomore Nick Vozzella added a marker at the 57 minute mark, while junior Sahr Nyuma and freshman Brad Woodruff tallied goals.  It was Woodruff's first career goal.

Husson's lone goal came in the 72nd minute off the foot of Greg Dawson. 

Union outshot Husson 26-7 in the win. Senior Adam Margulies earned the win after a scoreless opening half.  Mason Smith stopped five shots for Husson.

The Dutchmen take on Medgar Evers tomorrow, September 11, at noon.
