WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Caroline Moran scored at 81:56 to give the Union College field hockey team a 2-1 overtime win at Wiliams College at Renzie Lamb Field Thursday night. The wini was the third straight for the Dutchwomen and fourth in five games for Union (now 6-7 overall).
Moran got her sixth of the year on an unassisted goal for the Dutchwomen. Cary Hairfield opened the scoring for the Ephs at 16:11 with an unassisted goal, but Union tied it on
Ali Flake's second of the season at 30:27. Moran assisted on Flake's tally.
Molly McCune made nine saves on the night while Ariana Spilotes stopped one for the Ephs. Union pulled out the victory despite being outshot, 15-5. The hosts had a 7 to 5 advantage in corners.
Union will be back at Frank Bailey Field to host Castleton State for another non-league game, October 17 at 4:30 p.m.
