ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Union College women's volleyball team split their final conference matches of the season to lock in a second place seed in this year's Liberty League Championship Tournament with a record of 20-8 overall and 9-3 in the Liberty League.
The Dutchwomen started off the day with an improbable comeback against St. Lawrence as they won in three straight sets after dropping the first two. The Dutchwomen then came up a bit short against Liberty League leader Clarkson when they dropped in straight sets 3-0.
After dropping the first two games 26-24 and 25-19 the Dutchwomen started a strong comeback. They started by squeaking out a 26-24 victory in a third set to stay alive. After that the Dutchwomen finished the match strong by knocking off the Saints 25-16 in the fourth set and 15-7 in the fifth and decisive set.

The Dutchwomen's eight match win streak came to an end at the hands of Liberty League leader Clarkson as they downed the Dutchwomen in three straight sets 25-13, 25-19 and 25-22.
Wyman led the Dutchwomen attack with six kills while Price again led Union with 17 assists. Vollmer added another 19 digs on the weekend and had 2 service aces.
The Dutchwomen now turn their sights to the Skidmore Invitational next weekend where they will play their final regular season matches of the season against New Paltz, Fredonia State and Kean University on Friday and Saturday in Saratoga Springs. They will compete in the Liberty League Championship Tournament on November 8 and 9 at Clarkson.
