SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Union returned to the win column with a hard-fought 3-0 victory over 14th-ranked Cornell in ECAC Hockey action Saturday from Messa Rink.

Cole Ikkala,
Shayne Gostisbehere and

After a scoreless first period, Ikkala broke through for his first goal of the season, finishing a rebound to the right of goaltender Andy Iles.
Union added an insurance goal at 12:22 of the third period when

Eli Lichtenwald and tucked a shot inside the right post. Â Lichtenwald had two assists in his first action since the season opener, having missed eight games due to injury.
Wilkins then helped Union seal the win with 2:28 left in regulation, accepting a
Daniel Carr pass across the slot on a two-on-one and burying a wrister into an open net.
