CAMBRIDGE, M.A. – The Union College women's hockey team fell to #5 Harvard 2-0 on Friday night at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. With the loss the Dutchwomen drop to 8-16-1 on the season and 3-10-0 in ECAC play.
Junior goaltender
Shenae Lundberg stood strong throughout the game as she finished with 22 saves. She held the high powered Crimson offense off the board through the first two periods and shut down their power play on two attempts.
Harvard forward Hillary Crowe tallied the game winner for Harvard just 46 seconds into the third period, vaulting the Crimson to its third win in as many contests. Sarah Edney gave the home squad a cushion goal late in the period, assisted by classmate and captain Marissa Gedman, who handed out a pair of helpers on the evening herself.
Union went 0-2 on the power play but recorded three shots on goal.
The Dutchwomen were outshot 24-15 in the match. Senior

Kathryn Tomaselli tallied three shots a piece on the game.
Valente also tallied seven face off wins on the night.
Crimson goaltender Brianna Laing secured her third shutout of the season after stopping all 15 shots she faced.
Valente and the Dutchwomen hit the road tonight for their 4 p.m. rematch with ECACH foe Dartmouth tomorrow.
