HANOVER, N.H. – The Union College women's hockey team tallied three times but fell to Dartmouth 4-3 on Saturday afternoon at Thompson Arena.
The Dutchwomen responded to an early Dartmouth goal by knotting the game on a power play tally. Senior captain

Maddy Norton. The two teams headed into the second period tied at one.
The Dutchwomen opened up the second period with a score to break the tie as

Rebecca Babiak at the 3:18 mark.
Dartmouth responded midway through the period as Samatha Zeiss tallied an unassisted goal. The Dutchwomen broke the tie in the final moments of the period to give themselves a 3-2 lead heading into the third period. Sophomore
Kathryn Tomaselli tallied her team-leading 11
th goal of the season off a feed from Valente.
Trailing 3-2 midway through the final period, the Big Green power play capitalized on a Union tripping penalty. Emma Korbs fired a shot from the point that was stopped by junior netminder
Shenae Lundberg. The rebound bounced to Kennedy Ottenbreit who was also denied and Allen knocked home the loose puck to tie it at three.
Dartmouth's special teams struck again five minutes later as Lindsey Allen scored her team-leading 13th goal of the season, five of which have come with an extra skater. Laura Stacey took a shot from the high slot that trickeld past Lundberg and Allen slammed home the game-winning goal for the third consecutive contest.
Union had scoring chances late in the final stanza, pulling Lundberg with 2:44 remaining in regulation and on the power play. With the two extra attackers, The Dutchwomen had two shots stopped on the doorstep by Dartmouth's Lindsay Holdcroft. Union was not able to capitalize with the extra attackers and fell 4-3.
Lundberg finished the game with 35 saves while her opponent Holdcroft made 15 saves, including seven in the third period.
The Dutchwomen return home for matchups with Clarkson and St. Lawrence next weekend.
