After Madeline Buckley gave the Heron's a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute, Union tied the contest on
Sydney Keane's blast from the top of the box in the 63rd minute. First-year forward
Katie Monahan assisted on the play.
The Herons missed a penalty kick late in the second half, but earned three points to retain their hold of first place when Krista Longo bent a shot inside the right corner of the net four minutes into the second overtime.
Union travels to Hartwick this Wednesday for a non-conference contest starting at 7:00 p.m.
