Union Records 3-0 Win at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Fueled by three second half goals, Union posted a 3-0 non-conference win over Hartwick at Elmore Field Friday evening.  The game was originally scheduled for Oct. 15, but was postponed due to weather. The win was Union's 12th-straight against Harwick dating to 2003.

After a scoreless 45 minutes, Union exploded for three goals in the second half.  Whitney Bickford, who stands eighth in Liberty League goal-scoring, found the lower left corner of the net at 47:05.  Midfielder Jessica Farland made it 2-0 at the 56:09 mark, heading in a corner kick delivered by Katie Monahan.  It was Farland's first career goal in her 43rd game.

Breana Derella provided an insurance tally with her fourth goal of the season, burying a free kick into the upper left corner at 70:39.

Senior Allison Brustowicz made three saves to record her seventh shutout of the season, matching her total from last year.

Union has a week off from competitive action before returning to Liberty League play Oct. 25 at RIT.
