Union Drops 2-1 Decision to RIT

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Union's quest for a postseason berth in the Liberty League Tournament will be a little tougher following a 2-1 loss to RIT in double overtime Saturday.  The loss dropped Union (9-4-2, 2-3-2 LL) into a three-way tie for fifth place (the top four qualify), two points out of fourth with one league game remaining.

Kiana Richards scored on a shot from the top of the box 1:13 into the second overtime to complete a two-goal comeback for the Tigers.

Union opened scoring just 6:13 into the contest when first-year forward Katie Monahan placed a header into the net off a corner kick delivered by Mollie Gilchrist.

RIT evened the contest at 19:41 when Sierra Kiss broke in alone on goaltender Allison Brustowicz.

The Dutchwomen travel to Castleton State this Wednesday, before closing the regular season against Vassar Saturday on Senior Day at College Park Field.
